Being aerodynamic while ensuring ease of movement across triathlon disciplines is something the Castelli Free Sanremo Women’s Suit Sleeveless has been designed to do. It provides a performance edge over two-piece tri outfits while offering the same levels of comfort.
Its super-light Velocity Rev2 main body fabric ensures a great fit, maximising your freedom of movement when the suit is worn under a wetsuit or swimsuit, while reduced seaming along the legs helps you to cut through water. Meanwhile, the two rear pockets lie flat, facilitating your speed by keeping water out.
They are, however, still roomy enough to store plenty of nutrition to perk you up once you start to cycle, while the aerodynamic construction and long legs will help you to build up some serious speed.
You’ll also appreciate the highly breathable, cooling Velocity mesh fabric at the back that nonetheless blocks 94% of UV rays as you adopt ride position, not to mention the comfortable KISS Tri seat pad, which is nonetheless thin enough to be barely noticeable during your run.
The run is where you’ll most appreciate the muscle support provided by the shorts and the GIRO⁴ flat leg grippers, which will keep the legs firmly in place as you pound along. The Castelli Sanremo front opening will also come into its own. Its accessible position means you that you will be able to open it near the neck, to enjoy a cool breeze on warm days or when you’re putting in serious effort.
Plus, in the wider context of the race, the front opening makes it easier to bend in comfort during the cycling portion, but still stretch out straight and tall during the swim and run sections. All of these little advantages will add up to make a big difference to you on competition day.
