Cannondale Moterra Carbon SL 2 - Ex-Demo
Overview
The Cannondale Moterra Carbon SL 2 combines big-bike power and ride time with the agility and handling of a lightweight bike, for maximum fun. Featuring Cannondale’s lightest, full-power eMTB chassis, it is comfortable on anything from steep and techy to fast and flowy trails.
It includes a premium Fox Performance 36 fork and shock, with150mm of front travel and 160 of rear to smooth out your route, and benefits from the reliable shifting of Shimano's 12-speed Deore group, tough WTB KOM Trail tubeless ready rims and the confident stopping power of Magura MT5 disc brakes.
All of this tech will give you confidence and deliver an incredible ride feel over the roughest terrain, while Shimano’s EP801 drive unit, with its 85Nm of torque and 600+ watts of max output, brings big-time boost to the lightweight party. Four different levels of boost, adjustable on the fly, allow you to choose between maximum range, monstrous power, or a blend of both.
Modern trail bike geometry ensures this bike absolutely rips. Meanwhile, the FlexPivot stays act as a Horst pivot, dialling in the perfect suspension response for every input. The result is incredible traction, confident braking, and a playful feel that just begs to be pushed harder.
Speed Shop Approved
Every used bike from Saddleback gets the full VIP treatment in our Speed Shop. Our skilled mechanics tear it down, check everything, replace what needs replacing and dial it in so it's ready to ride. You also get two years of warranty, because we stand by our products and work.
Ex-Demo
Ex-demo bikes have seen a few rides – to prove their excellent performance. Each one's been fully serviced and brought back to peak performance by our Speed Shop mechanics. Expect a few scuffs from real-world use (check the pics), but mechanically, they’re dialled and ready for more. This particular bike has been used lots, so it has deep scratches to the left side of the top tube and just behind the head tube.
Our Speed Shop bikes don’t hang around. If you see “the one,” don’t sleep on it as once they are gone, they’re gone.
Multipoint Inspection
We’re riders, so we know what matters when you’re in the saddle. Our Speed Shop mechanics have given your bike a full, pro-level check, to ensure it’s dialled in and ready to go. It’s been inspected for damage, with just the aforementioned marks having been identified, while a new seatpost and saddle have been added. The wheelset has been checked for trueness and tension, while the bearings and tyres have been inspected and the sealant topped up.
When it comes to the drivetrain, this has been inspected for wear and the rear mech alignment has been checked, while the gears have been indexed and the firmware updated. Meanwhile, the chain has been checked for wear, stripped and waxed for your convenience. The brakes have been bled and new fluid added, the rotors have been cleaned and the brake pads and calliper alignment checked, to ensure you can stop on a button.
The headset has been cleaned and greased, so you can expect no creaks. The seat post has been greased, the suspension and pivot bearings have been inspected, and every bolt has been torqued to spec, ready to go.
E-Bike
If it’s electric, like the Moterra Neo, we’ve plugged it in, run full diagnostics, sorted any error codes, updated the firmware, and logged the mileage, which in this case is 422km. The charger is included and bagged up with the bike, ready to go.
