PRODUCT DETAILS

The Tiger 2 concentrates Sidi’s renowned quality and leading technology into a mountain bike shoe that is big on power and can spring the perfect attack.

At the heart of the Sidi Tiger 2 is the MTB SRS Carbon-Ground sole. The carbon fibre sole is handmade with a weave pattern that brings superb rigidity for the ultimate power transfer, while introducing some flex where it is needed to keep comfort levels high.

The sole has replaceable heel and toe treads, so you can switch out the worn-out parts and keep using the Tigers for years to come, thanks to Sidi’s superior craftsmanship and quality. A replaceable cleat plate protects sole where it is most likely to come into accidental contact with metal pedals.

The Tiger 2’s upper is made from Microfibre TechPro fabric. The material is highly breathable as well as water resistant, helping to keep your feet cool even when the efforts intensify and dry when the heavens begin to open. Mesh panels in the upper improve breathability further.

The mtb shoe closes with Sidi’s new Double Techno-3 Push Flex rotor. The double dial design eliminates pressure on the shoe’s instep and lets you fine tune the fit of the shoe and guarantees micrometric adjustment.

Adjustment of the fit isn’t limited to the closing dials. The Adjustable Heel Retention Device allows you to alter the fit of the Tiger 2 to your heel shape. Each side of the heel can be adjusted with screws accommodating any riders’ heel shape and eliminating heel slip. Reflective inserts improve visibility.

The Tiger 2 is completed with a non-slip rubber toe to protect the shoe from any accidental impacts or debris.

Sidi fitting guide

Like many handcrafted Italian shoes, Sidi cycling shoes feature a slim fit, the equivalent of a ‘D’ width. In our experience, if you’re usually a 45 in cycling shoes, you’ll be a 45 in Sidi shoes.

However, you also have the option of Sidi’s half sizes. These use the same length soles as the main size (i.e. 45 and 45.5 are the same length) but use a larger volume upper. This is perfect if you need a touch more width, have slightly higher arches or use an insole that takes up some of the volume of your shoe.

The volume and fit of the shoe is also affected by the closure system utilised. We’ve found that the combination of a central dial with the Soft Instep 4 strap means the Sidi Wire 2 has a slightly roomier toebox than the rest of the range, making it ideal for those seeking Italian styling with a little extra wiggle room.

If you need more volume, Sidi’s range of Mega fit shoes feature soles that are 4mm wider and have larger uppers for those with higher volume feet or deep orthotics.

Of course, everyone’s feet are different and slipping the shoes on will give you the best idea. We’d recommend trying them on towards the end of the day or even after a long ride to give your feet a chance to swell to their maximum size.

If your toes are brushing the end of the shoe, they’re too small. If you stand on tiptoes and the heel of the shoe doesn’t lift with the heel of your foot, creating a gap, they’re too big.
