Silca Hold Fast Carbon Paste delivers superior grip and cleaner installs through a high-tack silicone formula—setting it apart from traditional carbon grip pastes that rely on dyed greases and low-density texture additives.
Originally developed at the request of pro mechanics from VISMA | Lease a Bike, Hold Fast was engineered to solve real-world frustrations: stained clothing, slick grease bases, and poor grip at low torque. It increases surface friction, allowing for lower clamping torque while reducing the risk of fatigue, slippage, or damage to carbon and alloy parts. While most carbon pastes rely on grease as a base, Hold Fast uses a clean, high-tack silicone carrier that stays in place, wipes clean, and is safe on carbon, titanium, aluminium, and painted finishes.

Warranty and Crash Replacement
In addition to our regular 100-day returns policy on unused items, all items purchased from www.saddleback.co.uk are covered by our full two-year warranty against manufacturing defects from date of purchase. We will exchange, refund or repair (at our discretion) items proven to exhibit manufacturing or material faults in line with fair wear and tear.
