Feedback Sports

Feedback Sports specialises in creating ingenious bike maintenance, storage and training solutions that are a favourite with World Tour teams. Its focus is on ensuring that its products are dependable, durable and portable.

The company is based in Golden, Colorado, with the Front Range on its doorstep. It was started by Doug Hudson, an electrical engineer, and his wife Lisa. Both are keen cyclists, and they built the business after acquiring Ultimate Bike Support in 2009, off the back of Doug’s invention of the popular Feedback Sports Alpine Digital Scale, which accurately weighs bikes and their components.

Since then, the company has seen success in the most prestigious arenas of the cycling world, including the Tour de France and the World Championships, and forged relationships with great teams such as Alpecin-Deceuninck, Soudal Quick-Step and Trek-Segafredo, as well as individual athletes like Maghalie Rochette. It later acquired Scorpion Bike Stands and holds many patents.

The company prides itself on mixing business with pleasure, with employees enjoying lunchtime rides, and on investing time, money and energy into supporting the cycling industry.

KEY PRODUCTS

Sprint WORKStand

This durable stand, made from anodised 6061 T6 aluminium, is popular with pro road team mechanics, as it has all the qualities needed to travel and deal with multiple bikes efficiently. First, its tripod base keeps it stable on uneven ground. Next, being dropout-style and adaptable to QR and thru-axle standards, it achieves a rigid connection with any frame. Its 360˚ rotating platform means the bike, not mechanic, moves and it folds into a 13 x 19.1 x 76cm footprint and weighs just 5.7kg.

Weighing just 6.35kg, it folds into a bag and easily stows in your boot, the over-head compartment or a cupboard. It’s quick to set up, with a compact footprint, and adapts to virtually any bike size and geometry, without removal of the back wheel. Finally, the roller bearings are maintenance free, as is the patented, internal progressive resistance unit that simulates outdoor cycling.

About Feedback Sports

Feedback Sports’ motto of “Any Bike. Every Rider.” speaks to its commitment to making sure that its products will offer riders of all abilities what they need to keep their bikes and themselves in shape.

The fact that the company counts so many pro teams and riders as fans speaks to the quality of the brand’s designs. The Omnium Portable Trainer is used by Mathieu Van der Poel and his team on race days, the Soudal Quick-Step bikes are cleaned and maintained with the help of the Sprint Workstand, and all of the brand’s athletes appreciate its range of products that take care of their bikes behind the scenes.

Pro athletes and enthusiasts, road riders and MTB fanatics alike take pride in their trusty steeds. Getting them to the venue in one piece, getting them ready to race, warming up and cooling down, then storing them safely back home is just as important as training in readiness for competition – and that’s what Feedback Sports is about.

An understanding of riders’ needs

Doug Hudson’s Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, combined with his and Lisa’s love of cycling and racing, have made the brand something of an expert in identifying market needs and either sourcing or creating the innovative products that cyclists truly need.

In particular, they cater to racers who require their tools and equipment to be compact, lightweight, durable, portable and easy to use. On race day, tools that are easy to transport and reliably do their job are a must, not a luxury. The quality design of Feedback’s products makes them ideal solutions for bike teams, which is why they’re so prominent on the World Tour stage.

However, they’re not just for on-the-road use. Their fine engineering, superior construction and quality materials ensure that shop and home mechanics will be equally satisfied.

First class customer service also sets the brand apart. Feedback Sports’ reviews are a testament to the esteem with which their Colorado-based CS team is held by customers for going above and beyond. This matches Saddleback's own philosophy and we will offer the same service for UK customers, backing already first-class products with service to match.

Feedback Sports and Saddleback

Feedback Sports was a natural partner for Saddleback, as we frequent the same events. Many of our bike-mad staff have competed in or supported teams during races, so we are very familiar with the brand’s stands, trainers and tools.

In return, Feedback Sports has long been aware of Saddleback through the presence of our brands on the world stage and our attendance at industry events. Both companies appreciate the importance of quality and passion when it comes to engaging cyclists.
