Fox Fork Settings
Your ACS3 kit will arrive ready for installation based on your fork, weight and indicated riding style, but you may want to make some changes yourself.
The kit comes with an upper spring cap and two small discs, which are for spring preload if required. Using the cap without the discs means minimum preload and this is what we recommend you start with.
If your fork is sagging too much and you want to add a little bit of preload to raise the ride height of the fork, you can install one of the preload discs inside the upper spring cap to give 2.5mm preload or both to give 5.0mm preload (referred to as 100 thou and 200 thou by Darren in the video).
Finally, you'll need to set your rebound and compression, set by your original damper, which is unchanged by the ACS3 installation and situated in the other fork leg.
This chart shows the setup we recommend as a great starting point for each spring colour.

ROCKSHOX THREAD NOTICE
Different generations of RockShox forks have different pitch threading on the fork top cap. While this is usually consistent, there are a few overlaps of model years where your top cap threads might not match the general rule, which is that Boost forks have a fine pitch, and non Boost have a coarse pitch thread. To be absolutely sure of compatibility, we suggest removing your existing top cap and comparing with your ACS3 threads. If they don't match, pause your installation and give us a call on 01454 285285 or email pushsupport@saddleback.co.uk and we'll get you sorted and on the trails in no time.
