Inspired by David Millar’s favourite training base and the home of CHPT3, the Girona collection continues to blend the brand’s peerless sense of style with Castelli's cycling garment expertise while being the most affordable offering yet.
The Girona 1.27 Jersey is designed to offer the best everyday performance and comfort. The first part of the equation comes from the fabric composition, which is same as that utilised by Castelli for the Maglia Rosa – the leader’s jersey of the Giro d’Italia – giving an aerodynamic advantage as well as low weight.
Comfort is ticked off thanks to the material’s excellent wicking capabilities – keeping you dry on those winding mountain roads – and a cut that treads the fine line between race-ready and relaxed. The elastic raw-edge sleeves hold true, helping you to hone that razor-sharp tan line, while the collar offers the perfect fit can coverage when hammering it on the drops and elegant shaping the rest of the time.
Tarrying at a local bar to escape the mid-afternoon sun is made easier with the practicality of a hidden zippered pocket, perfect for storing paper and plastic funds. The zippered pocket comes in addition to three traditional rear pockets for all your long-ride essentials.
Available in two colourways – C3 Black and Climbing Ivy, the jerseys’ abstract patterns are inspired by the effect of sunlight hitting the fire-red latticed structure of Eiffel Bridge in Girona.
The Girona 1.17 shorts are CHPT3’s first-ever black shorts and feature six-panel contoured construction and a long leg to cosset your legs in supportive comfort. The hem is secured by a 9cm high-grip silicone dot leg bands to prevent riding up and safeguard your tan line.
The wide bib straps spread the load across your shoulders for added comfort while the mesh material and generous back coverage help breathability and wicking – especially on those hot, no-baselayer days. The shorts also use Castelli’s Air Kiss seatpad for luxurious comfort during day-long epics, but this version continues the fire-red design flourishes with an exclusive print.
The black embossed CHPT3 Girona lettering on the rear and C3G insignia on the right underline CHPT3’s connection to the buzzing Catalonian city in the brand’s typically classy fashion.
No CHPT3 ensemble – or any cycling outfit – is complete without matching socks and with its simplicity and style, the Girona 1.54 Socks are the perfect accompaniment to the range’s jersey and shorts.
Of course, being CHPT3, these are special chaussettes indeed. The footbed is made with a ceramic thread for strength while also decreasing the build-up of heat when pedalling upwards for mile upon mile. The microfibre nylon base used in the main body of the sock utilises Meryl Skinlife fabric, which has a built-in antimicrobial effect that reduces odours and won’t wash out.
The socks feature a clean design with the cuff and CHPT3 wordmark mirroring the fire red accents of the jerseys. At 15cm tall, the socks won’t compromise your look by being too long and fit in perfectly with each jersey thanks to the black and climbing ivy colourways.
