Kogel Bearings now backed by a Lifetime Limited Warranty for lasting performance

At Saddleback, we’ve long championed Kogel Bearings for its commitment to precision, durability and performance on every ride. Now, Kogel has listened to its customers and extended that commitment through the introduction of a Lifetime Limited Warranty for original owners across the Kogel range.

Kogel’s “Very Few Questions Asked” two-year and three-year warranty on CR bearings was always transparent and built on a firm belief in the quality of every bearing it produces. This new, extended warranty delivers total confidence, for the lifespan of your bike, knowing Kogel has your back and recognises its bearings are integral to improving your ride experience.

As for what is changing… nothing, until it matters. The coverage you’ve always had in the first two years remains, encompassing corrosion or manufacturing faults, with annual servicing and seal replacement all that’s required to keep that coverage active.

Once the initial warranty period of two or three years ends, the Lifetime Limited Warranty kicks in. If a bearing wears prematurely under normal riding conditions or shows signs of a manufacturing defect, it’s covered, giving you peace of mind. The Lifetime Warranty doesn’t cover the avoidable, such as crash damage, neglected servicing or abuse beyond what’s reasonable.

During the Lifetime period, annual servicing will keep your bearings in peak condition. Saddleback can offer bearing servicing, so can your local Kogel dealer, and if you fancy flushing the bearings through yourself, re-greasing them and actioning the recommended seal replacement, then that is fine too and will ensure that the exceptional ride experience continues.

Phase 1: “Very Few Questions Asked” Warranty

For the first 1–3 years (depending on your bearing type), Kogel will replace or repair the product with minimal hassle. Just contact Saddleback’s Customer Service team with your proof of service and purchase.

Corrosion or wear under normal use
Craftsmanship issues
Applies to original and second-hand owners (with proof of purchase)

What’s not covered:

Improper installation or modification
Crash damage or misuse
Chemical or cleaning product damage

If it’s not covered, we’ll offer a discount to help get you back on the bike quickly.

Phase 2: Limited Lifetime Warranty & Refurbishment

After the initial period, Kogel’s Lifetime programme keeps you covered with service-based warranty support and refurbishment.

How it works:

Contact Saddleback with proof of service history.
Saddleback, or your local dealer, can inspect, clean, re-grease and replace worn parts.
There’s great pricing on servicing worn parts or conducting repairs, based on wear.
If you fancy taking on the servicing yourself, the replacement seals are available to order.

What’s covered:

Manufacturing or craftsmanship defects
Non-crash related performance issues

What’s not covered:

Crash or impact damage
Neglect or improper service
Excessive wear past product’s lifespan

How to make a claim:

Email Saddleback’s Customer Service team.
Provide purchase and service history for your product.
Ship that product to Saddleback.
We will inspect and repair or replace parts as needed, either free or at great prices, based on wear and history.
