WTB Rocket Tyre Plug Kit

The Rocket Tyre Plug Kit is your friend when you puncture your tubeless tyre on a ride. Pull it preloaded from your bike bag, then insert the Rocket anchor into the hole to hold the ‘bacon strip’ plug in place. Once you're home, or have sealed the gap, you can then replace it in the kit.

Your backup option is the Extra Hand, found under the short cap of the kit. If you've forgotten to pre-load your Rocket, or you need a minute to work out how many plugs are required to stop the leak, it can be temporarily lodged in the hole to prevent air loss, then removed as soon as you're ready to go. It can also be used as a reamer to neaten up the hole for easier sealing.

The Rocket anchor, meanwhile, is designed to stay in the puncture, no matter what terrain you encounter, how high your tyre pressure is or how heavily you lean into corners. It rotates once pushed and fixes itself, and the plug, in place until you remove it from the inside of the tyre.

CNCd from 6061 aluminium alloy, the kit, with its integrated hand tool and plunger, offers room for four assorted Rocket anchors, two large and two small, along with 15 1.5mm diameter ‘bacon strip’ plugs. The small anchors hold up to two plugs and can be pushed in using a 2mm hex, while the large anchors hold up to four plugs and demand a 2 or 3mm hex.

All four can be pre-loaded in case of need, to save you valuable seconds on the trail, and the kit is small enough to keep handy, even if you're lucky enough to never use it. Once your puncture is plugged, WTB's Tubeless Tyre Sealant can be used to create a flexible, long-lasting repair.
