A wheel spec to suit your style
Stomping down boulder-strewn slopes or shooting at breakneck speed around the switchbacks? You decide, and the bike's geometry can be adapted, via the Flip Chip, to accommodate a smooth rolling 29″ or nimble 27.5″ rear wheel accordingly. A flick of the chip will raise your bottom bracket and steepen the head angle by 0.5 degrees or reset back to the 29″ standard.
Goldilocks suspension
The Trailcat SL features just the right level of suspension to smooth out rough slopes, while also optimising grip on the trail and converting every possible watt sent to the pedals into speed. Its dw-link® suspension will maximise your traction and efficiency whilst maintaining a bottomless feel when attacking rock-strewn descents. With 120mm of rear suspension and 140mm of front, this bike combines the efficiency of an XC bike with plush descending out of all proportion with its quoted capabilities.
Sure performance, regardless of frame size
All of Pivot's bikes benefit from the brand's Hollow Core Carbon technology that uses clever internal moulding to minimise weight and maximise strength. The carbon in each hand-built frame is laid to achieve the same stiffness levels and capabilities in all sizes, then independent strength to weight analysis is conducted to verify these consistent performance metrics.
Primed to go further
In-frame storage is built into the downtube of the Trailcat, in the form of ToolshedTM storage with an easy-to-use latching system for security. Inside the door, a magnet holds quick links for fast access, while an integrated strap loop can be primed to carry your favourite tool. Two included ToolshedTM bags will hold your necessities and spares, while mounting points under the top tube offer compatibility with Pivot's exclusive Dock tool system.
Modern trail geometry
Compared with its sister model, the rowdier Trailcat LT, the SL has geometry tuned for greater agility, as befits its intended use as a consummate holder of the fastest, most winding trails. Both, however, are built with aggressive trail geometry, with a slack head angle, steep seat tube and large front centre delivering stability at speed, control on climbs and confidence while descending, making the Trailcat a fabulous all-rounder on the singletrack.
